I think if you download the game for the free trial and don't subscribe before it ends, the CD-key becomes invalid. Even when i removed the game from my account it still wouldn't work.ĭid you actually buy the game or do the free trial? Keep in mind this is my speculation, I don't know if this is actually the problem but it's the only thing that makes sense to me. I had a receipt for the game that showed I paid for it but the CD-Key was invalid. when I tried to get it going 2 months ago nothing I did made a difference. I had the game on my Steam account since 2014 but only ever played a few days of the free trial. I ended up just buying the windows version. I was struggling with it for 2 weeks and NOTHING at all was working. I'm sorry to say I was having this same problem.
